Cytoband
Description
A cytoband is a region of a chromosome that is defined based on its unique banding pattern when stained with certain dyes. Cytobands are used to identify specific regions of chromosomes, and can be helpful in identifying chromosomal abnormalities and understanding the organization of genetic material within a chromosome.
