Description

MicroRNA (miRNA) is a type of small non-coding RNA molecule that plays an important role in gene regulation. These short RNA molecules, typically around 21-23 nucleotides in length, function by binding to complementary sequences on messenger RNA (mRNA) molecules, which can lead to the degradation of the mRNA or inhibition of its translation into protein.
