Description
A Social Determinant of Health (SDoH) can be associated with a disease when conditions in a person's environment (e.g., poverty, lack of access to healthy food, pollution) directly or indirectly contribute to the development, progression, or severity of that disease. These environmental factors can influence health behaviors, stress levels, and access to care, ultimately impacting health outcomes.
